Role Purpose

• To perform test delivery activities on an allocated project or work-streams.
• Hands on into Functional Testing
• Taking responsibility for allocated test deliverables, performing analysis activities during test preparation and test execution including recording the results and reporting issues through the agreed defect management process.
• This role also involves specifying the required Test Data and evaluating the outcome of the testing conducted in each test cycle.
• Ensure that all test deliverables produced by you are in accordance with the Civica Testing Policy and are peer reviewed to drive quality into the process.

Principal Accountabilities

• Produce test artefacts, Test Cases, Expected Results, Actual Results, Defects, Data, Defect Re-tests and Test execution summary for your work
• Provide Validation and verification of test inputs, functional specifications, requirements, Acceptance criteria etc. for testability, ambiguity and completeness
• Ensure all personally produced test deliverables meet with the Civica Test Policy and Civica Test Framework
• Provide accurate and concise process updates to Senior Tester / Product Owner / Project and or Test Manager
• Assess and document any risks or issues that threaten the achievement of the testing deliverables
• Able to works under general direction
• Able to execute manual test scripts
• Actively seek process improvements and efficiencies
• Act as a role model, mentor and coach to Junior Testers
• Provide input to Test Planning and Estimating test phases
• Deputise for the Senior Tester
• Provide accurate timely reporting information on progress, risks and issues
• Build collaborative relationships within the Civica Group both internally and externally to the testing team and with partners
• Ensure that effective communication is maintained with team members on the same or related projects / product teams to build common goals and avoid misunderstandings
• Continued liaison with the project / product teams, Project Managers, Product Owner, Business Analysts, Developers and Business Areas.
• Champion the testing profession

Requirements

Essential Competencies

• Testing skills and knowledge of current testing techniques across the test phases
• Knowledge of

-System Testing
-Integration testing
-Regression
-UAT

• Good in verbal and written communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussions.
• Knowledge of Agile and waterfall development methodologies
• Understanding of Software test life cycle
• Proactive personality and able to work with some support.
• Good team player and self-learner
• The ability to work to agreed deadlines.
• Should be a detailed oriented.
• Track record of delivering commitments on time and quality.
• Time management
• Out of box thinking and problem-solving skills

Mandatory Skills

• Functional testing
• Software testing life cycle and Defect Life cycle
• Test Scripts creation/Execution skills
• SQL/Database knowledge
• Hands on knowledge of Data Testing (preferably MS SQL server/databases )

Desirable Skills

• Agile Concepts
• Web Testing (Windows and/or Mobile)
• Compatibility Testing, Accessibility Testing
• ISTQB Foundation Level certified
• Knowledge of Automation testing
• API Testing
• Azure DevOps

Note: This role is Work from Office. Candidates from Vadodara (Gujarat) or ready to relocate, can apply. Minimum 2 Years of experience is required.
