We are a global team of software/hardware engineers, bioinformaticians, data scientists and computational biologists working in discovery research for the agricultural domain. We value passionate, enthusiastic, out-of-the-box thinkers for their ability to provide innovative software solutions in a team-oriented environment. We are seeking a talented Test Analyst to join the Software and Data Engineering team to support critical production systems that enable scientific research in the areas of Genomics, Bioinformatics, and Data Science.
The candidate will be joining a diverse multi-cultural team of data scientists and software engineers that develops robust digital solutions and builds state of art cloud data infrastructure for the enterprise. Our team members are in Iowa, Indianapolis, California, and Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• The Test Analyst will work within agile Software Development teams to implement, and validate software based on business-driven requirements.
• Using a risk-based approach, utilize software engineering department QA Team standards and frameworks to design, document, develop, and execute manual test cases and automated testing scripts.
• Collaborate closely across agile teams driving efficiency in the QA process and engage with others to test applications and develop effective solutions for complex problems.

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on software testing experience
• Possess excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience validating and verifying that software applications meet stakeholder requirements
• Experience in system automation, integration, functional regression, load and performance testing
• Experience in data extract and file comparisons
• Experience in automating E2E testing
• Working knowledge of C#, Python programming languages
• Working knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server, POSTGRES, S3)
• Experience testing geospatial/mapping systems
• Ability to work with test analysts to support FS&D SE QA Team quality initiatives
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum

• 2+ years of hands-on test automation experience
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Familiar with qTest, MTM or similar test management tools
• Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright
• Experience in API testing
• Working knowledge of API testing techniques and familiarity with tools, such as Postman and JMeter
• Working knowledge of applications built with React, Redux, CSS, Javascript
• Experience in the AG industry with knowledge of breeding analytics and data analysis
