The Territory Manager oversees business development, sales performance, and distribution growth within an assigned territory. The role involves managing multiple branches or teams, driving sales strategy, ensuring compliance, and achieving profitability and productivity targets across all insurance lines (Life, Health, or General).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Branch Managers, Business Development Managers, and Advisors.
Develop and execute territory-level business plans to achieve sales and revenue goals.
Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution networks.
Monitor performance metrics and ensure consistent achievement of business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Drive high standards of customer service, retention, and compliance.
Conduct performance reviews, training, and development of the sales force.
Coordinate with marketing, underwriting, and operations teams to support business growth.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years' experience in insurance sales and team management.
Proven track record of meeting business and revenue targets.
Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and IRDAI guidelines.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
