Job Description

Telecommunications Engineering
?Executes on assigned tasks in the build and deployment of systems
? Performs basic troubleshooting and acknowledgement of notification events, taking action on basic tasks and demonstrates understanding of where to go for help
? Make recommendations on areas for improvement
? Recognizes patterns and conditions that indicate issue and alerts appropriate party
? Understands the interoperability of the systems and has a basic understanding of API
? Has general computer science acumen, e.g., know what servers, database, storage are and how these functions

Engineering Principles
?Understands their responsible component of the technology stack
? Seeks to understand how customer will interact with system and how best to design solution from their perspective
? Demonstrates awareness of importance of security, scalability, reliability and feasibility in solution design
? Seeks out information to learn about systems that support or rely upon solution to better understand integrations and impacts
? Evaluates service areas to identify opportunities for automation
? Stays current with evolving technologies

Technology Acumen
?Has base understanding of some bodies of technologies and expands that knowledgebase when necessary;
? Understands what interdependencies exist and operates within them;
? Stays current on trends within own domain and incorporates best practices into work;
? Strives to understand the technologies used by an engineering team;
? Understands and applies the concepts of data science in operational systems

Business Acumen
?Provides ideas on how technology can improve business processes
? Incorporates business objectives when evaluating processes to remove redundancies and waste
? Recommends solutions for multiple channels

System Performance and Availability Management
?Monitors performance and availability using appropriate tools and instrumentation
?Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business goals and evaluate impact to future system performance
? Analyzes data to forecast needs, recommends, test and implement solutions to address

End-user Technology Management
?Identifies correct knowledge documents and support materials to answer questions and troubleshoot issues
? Learns about technology deployments and how they fit within business model/strategy
? Explains general navigation to customers; Translates technical terms to non-technical users to help in explaining navigation
? Looks for opportunities to improve knowledge on technologies

ITSM Incident Management
?Understands and adheres to the IM process and policies

Positions in this function are involved in various aspects of design, engineering and operations of the voice data networks and related equipment. Provide project planning, implementation and support of new network or voice systems and direct technical analysis of hardware, software or networks.

- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Intermediate support experience related to Voice, Video, Chat and Conferencing
Intermediate support experience related to any kind of Monitoring and Troubleshooting Tools
Intermediate support experience related to ServiceNow processes
