We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Educational Counselor to join our team. The Educational Counselor will provide guidance and support to students in academic and career planning, as well as assist them in overcoming personal and educational challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals.
- Provide guidance and support in course selection, academic planning, and career exploration.
- Assist students in developing personalized academic and career plans aligned with their interests, skills, and aspirations.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students\' academic and behavioral concerns.
- Help students overcome obstacles to learning, such as learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, or emotional issues.
- Provide resources and referrals to support services, including tutoring, mentoring, and counseling, as needed.
- Conduct workshops and presentations on study skills, time management, test preparation, and college admissions.
- Stay informed about educational trends, curriculum requirements, college admission criteria, and career opportunities.
- Administer and interpret assessments to help students identify their strengths, interests, and learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, assessments, and progress reports in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.
