About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Consultant fpr Payments Command Center (PCC)

  • The Payments Command Center (PCC) comprises of 2 sites responsible for supporting payment processing operations groups and, through them, our customers and businesses by: monitoring of WF\'s end-to-end payment flows; management of alerts; and centralized issue of communication.
  • PCC sites operate 24x7x365 include remote managerial responsibilities across multiple time zones, including on-call responsibility for critical issues that impact the payment ecosystem
  • The PCC will work across all WF LOBs and Payments Technology teams to provide the above support for all Payment rails (e.g. Wire, ACH, RTP, etc) and origination channels (e.g. Lockbox, CEO, Payment Mgr, etc)
In this role, you will:
  • Support PCC manager to run and execute daily activities for the PCC and actively work on continuous improvement that is grounded by solid change management practices to mitigate risk.
  • Provide support in a 24x7 model for the most complex and broad technological business solutions which have direct and significant impact on Wells Fargo\'s strategic payments objectives.
  • Maintain active communication through all layers and business lines of the organization to match the criticality of the issue.
  • Daily monitoring of tasks, Links, Application queues, File transmission and any other critical business event.
  • Timely reporting and escalating any BAU outages. Ensuring first response is sent out to requisite technology/business unit.
  • Establish and maintain working partnerships with partners that the PCC supports and must work seamlessly alongside in daily execution of duties.
  • Hands on with requisite data extraction and managing ad hoc request during BAU.
  • Should be well versed with Payment/Trade life cycle and be able to provide insights and analysis into current and forecasted payment activities with a view of where the customers\' payment is in the payment lifecycle, provide pain points and impacts as if pertaining to specific issues or payment.
  • Manage Incidents for Enterprise Payment Operations and able to lead the incident call from Operations perspective.
  • Manage Incident Communication for business Stakeholder and Senior Leaders within lines of business in the Organization.
  • Responsible for Co-ordinating Root cause analysis and document Preventative actions, Tactical and Strategic fix for Incidents.
  • Collaborate with different Command Centers/ Technology stakeholder and report any issues promptly which can impact Enterprise payments operations, Clients , regulatory or financial impact to the organization.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience in Business Systems Data, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Payment Operations, Production Support or Information Technology or equivalent knowledge of payments and payment technology
  • Experience standing up new 24 x 7 functions or organizations highly preferred
  • Experience in banking operations or any of the following: payments/settlements/fund transfers, Trade & Securities, Custody related to banking products
  • Knowledge on Message types of SWIFT, FED WIRE, CHIPS and Telex an advantage
  • Good in both verbal and written communication skills
  • Good investigation and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and short SLA or turnaround time
  • Ability to work in changing and fast paced work environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions, able to multitask
  • Able to perform shift work (incl. Night Shifts) and ready for deployment in a 24x7x365 day environment
