: About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Technical Writer. As part of a global IT Service Desk this role will create and edit technical documentation, self-help and knowledge, and communications literature. By creating clear and concise articles, quick reference guides, and videos you are helping to develop an environment promoting self-service. Your impact on our customer and internal experience will make you a key contributor on the Support Team to improve the customer experience and promote world class support. Apply consulting skills and extensive technical expertise. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and work without considerable direction. In this role, you will: Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, step-by-step procedures and/or processes easy to follow. Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience and organize information applying information mapping concepts to enable information accessibility. Maintain and improve existing knowledge article to ensure information accuracy, content accessibility, and article layout that complies with company writing standards. Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements. Gather information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write knowledge articles. Process knowledge incoming knowledge request per establish request process. Experience with translating technical content from multiple sources into a style and format that meets multiple end-users needs and project goals.. Experience with consulting with subject matter experts to evaluate, standardize, write, and maintain materials. Experience with working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment Experience using Microsoft Office tools to create materials. Ability to identify and rectify gaps in content to ensure accurate and complete documentation. Ability to independently create knowledge management assets, including templates, style guides, how-to tutorials. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter. Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail Experience in working across multiple teams to improve user experience, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Desired Qualifications: Experience with creating resources for an IT Service Desk Experience with Confluence and Jira Experience with writing documentation for virtual agent format Knowledge of Agile methodologies Degree in (or equivalent) in journalism, technical communications, or relevant technical field Previous experienceor knowledge ofsoftware development lifecycle Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication) Experience in using html tools to create documentation.
