Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Technology and Innovation department. You’ll be responsible for managing and monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems, and the ability to manage multi-faceted projects of varying complexities. This position assists in the refinement and promotion of technical principles and standards that support Allucent's current and future business goals.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and maintain servers, cloud systems, application software and system management tools

• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Update technical documentation

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• AWS and/or Azure cloud certification
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
• Experience with various monitoring systems and strategies
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)and familiarity with various automation platforms
• Thorough understanding of the technical back end for Microsoft business applications, particularly Teams and SharePoint
• Business awareness and willingness to attain knowledge of business operations and how IT relates to corporate strategy and goals
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and independently investigate solutions
• Proven ability to prioritize and complete projects in a timely fashion and achieve results in an ambitious work environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
