About the Team: The mission of our Digital Operations team is to operate a fault resilient, customer-centered, proactive DevOps team. The team is responsible for supporting systems that deliver AT&T’s customer experience, across multiple internet-facing eCommerce applications, databases, platforms and technology stacks. Our customer-journey centric Ops team is made up of Ops Engineers as well as Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) who are all focused on ensuring a highly available, resilient, performant and secure customer experience.
Qualifications - Internal

Responsibilities:

  • Create Dashboards in Kibana for operations and business teams
  • Create Watcher alerts for operations teams
  • Creating queries which can be posted to Logstash API for data extraction
  • Educate operations personnel on ELK stack and dashboard creation in Kibana
  • Translate business requests into technical solutions
  • Work with ELK tools support team to identify and extract new fields
  • Familiar with developing reports/dashboards in EFK/ELK/Splunk, PowerBI/DAX : 3 - Intermediate (practical application)
  • Familiar with any database and querying them using SQL or NoSQL constructs: 3 - Intermediate (practical application)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to work in a Global team

Required Experience:
  • Total experience 5+ yrs.
  • Understanding of eCommerce platforms including Kubernetes contains and Microservices
  • Experience with log analytics and/or log creation required
  • 3-5 years using Kibana and the ELK stack
  • Familiarity with all Kibana visualizations including TSVB (time series visual builder), Timelion, Lens, Vega

Secondary / Desired skills:

  • Tableau: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
  • Familiar with Python in querying RESTFUL APIs and other data sources, manipulating and displaying data: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
  • Understanding of web development, containers and Microservices: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
  • Capable of leading small team of experts


Shift timing: Shift falls typically between 6 AM to 10 PM India standard time. Occasionally may have to work long hours in situations when it is needed.
Location: Chennai/Hyderabad
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in Computer Science is preferred
