Job Description

Responsible for managing lab demonstrations, equipment maintenance, and technical training on Graco products for distributors and customers. Requires hands-on experience with automation, robotics, and industrial fluid handling systems, along with strong documentation and customer service skills.

• Prepare and maintain lab schedule and resources to ensure successful application tests.
• Set up the machines in the lab for the demonstration.
• Perform demonstrations with/without Robots and ensure that all test reports and associated documentation is completed.
• Ensure demonstration equipment cleanout and storage.
• Ensure that all lab activities (i.e. demonstrations, sales visits, training, etc.) are properly documented.
• Maintain lab log that will include number of demonstrations, demonstration type (i.e. material supplier, marketing, or distributor) and sales generated by these lab activities.
• Keep updated on new products and applicable technology from all divisions.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of all chemicals used in the lab.
• Maintain lab equipment including assembly and repair.
• Train and guide lab technicians
• Create procedures and work instructions as needed to operate the lab.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient lab environment.
• Conduct training on operation and maintenance of Graco products to distributor and end customers.
• Manage and maintain lab inventory.

A successful Technical Service Engineer should have:

• Diploma/ Degree in Electronics engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation.
• Able to operate robots.
• 5+ years' experience in application lab environment.
• Willingness to learn equipment assembly and repair.
• Experience with industrial fluid handling products.
• Knowledge of general lab practices and equipment.
• Ability to travel to customer sites approximately 20% of the time
