Must to have skills :-

• Good understanding of the technical and business aspects of software development (software development background - a strong advantage)
• Experience in the Scrum environment - an advantage
• Ability to attend Focus Teams and deduce the information required for the documents
• At least 4+ years of experience in technical writing or other relevant subject

Good to have:-

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Skill with other editing, graphics and screen-capture tools such as Oxygen or other XML editors, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Robohelp, Power Point, Visio and SnagIt.
• Knowledge of Confluence and Jira - a strong advantage
• Knowledge of GIT and Markdown - a strong advantage
• Programming background especially Javascripts, XMLs and XML transformation - a strong advantage

What will your job look like?

• Craft publications that explain the company's products to its customers and internal audience and allow full use of its functionality.
• Ensure that documentation meets industry standards of quality, usability and format using writing expertise and product knowledge.
• Assume full responsibility for all official documents of product applications and create and maintain the application's documentation and/or training framework, as well as the content of its publications.
• Continuously gain knowledge of product's new functionality via attendance at Design Review, Focus Team, Opportunity Team, and Scrum meetings as well as reading design documents, interviewing SMEs and using the product itself. Use this knowledge to independently create new version documents
• Estimate time and effort required for documentation tasks and contribute to documentation plans.
• Conduct peer-review on documentation for other members of the Technical Publications team.
