Summary:
UST is looking for Technical Project Management
The Opportunity:
Looking for technically skilled Technical Project Management
What you need:
TPM
Every BU actively executes Product Change Management daily. Their Triads are the gate keepers to changing a product. The result is a Portfolio that represents all the Projects the BU has agreed to execute. Includes everything from PDP to CIPs. CIP Projects are the predominant type. They require a substantial amount of orchestration. They are far more challenging to manage than individual PDP Projects. There is no Project Management function today that does this. With the sheer amount of them, their typical crosstalk, and collisions with one another, in addition to Full PDPs and Lite PDPs, is immense. These are a substantial contributor to EA (Exception Activity) and consume a massive number of resources to execute. Orchestration is key and a big part of running the business. This new role of Portfolio Program Manager would oversee this orchestration activity.
Manage the Project Portfolio of a particular BU which entails:
Attending weekly Triad meetings and represent the existing portfolio; remind Triad what they've already signed up for.
Ensure Projects are accurately filled in with enough detail to enable execution. Detailed Scope, Team Member Names, Tasks, Dates, NSR Readiness, Conversion decisions, status, etc.
Evaluate overlap in Projects and work to adjust scope / timeline. Ensure unfunded projects are placed on hold and resources are reallocated.
Facilitate regular maintenance meetings with Project Owners and functional leaders to achieve alignment, acquire conversion decisions, signal NSR ready status, update schedule and assign actions.
Forecast Projects NSR readiness date to BMO, BM, GPM, Acct Team.
Acquire future planned ship dates (month accuracy) from Acct Team, BM, GPM and then work with DE, NPME and MPM to coordinate procurement.
Highlight misalignments and facilitate corrective action discussion
Forecast to mfg
Coordinate multi-Project execution into the Product Offering to ensure a seamless, conflict free mfg cut in. Strive towards One & Done approach. Convert prior to or in parallel to first customer order (NSR).
Perform ECO PM role to orchestrate and traffic control ECO activity from Portfolios Project conversions and volume manufacturing sustaining activities such as obsolescence. Ensure ECO activity is streamlined. Minimal collisions.
Assist BM/BMO comprehension of the Project Portfolio and how to select the appropriate Project for NPI related NSRs.
Drive alignment between BU and CSG Portfolios.
Ensure alignment between Project Portfolio and GPMs Product Change Roadmap. Works with GPM and PLM to address gaps.
