DESCRIPTION The Social Advertising team owns Amazon\'s automated advertising on Social Media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. Our mission is to understand our customers in these social settings to create engaging and relevant ads that delight customers by helping them find the products and Amazon services they want (even when they didn\'t already know they wanted them). We are responsible for identifying, experimenting with, and scaling social media advertising opportunities that generate immediate and long-term value for Amazon. We are focused on building automated advertising programs, currently live in 12 countries that drive efficiency at scale with WW parity. We aggressively experiment with new and emerging social networks to unlock new advertising opportunities that can be scaled. Our engineering team builds self-optimizing, ad personalization engines that leverage integrated Machine Learning, massive data processing and adaptive algorithms to deliver ad performance. We use Social Graph signals and closed loop optimization to power our advertising engine. As a part of our team, you will have a chance to have a ground-up impact on our systems, our business and most importantly, our customers, through the leadership of a team of engineers focused on scaling social advertising. We build large scale, distributed systems using multiple AWS services and designed from the ground up to make extensive use of Machine Learning and Social Graph data. We\'re seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead in a fast-paced environment, guiding a team of smart software engineers to architect and develop the right technical solutions to meet the needs of the business. You will be in charge of the complete software development lifecycle: defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features. We care about both delighting customers and high quality software we don\'t sacrifice one for the other. We\'re looking for someone with a demonstrated track record of hiring and leading teams of software development engineers to build and run highly-scalable, global software solutions. In this role, you will: - Define the strategy and roadmap for your team - Hire and develop the industry\'s best talent to build a strong and well-balanced team - Work across the organization to deliver the best in-class advertisements to our customers while balancing critical business objectives - Build software that easily extends to meet the rapidly growing business of advertising on social media channels We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Pune, MH, IND BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI\'s/SLA\'s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
