This is an opportunity to fill the role of a global technical lead for a world class engineering team responsible for the development, fulfillment and validation of steam turbine controls hardware and software. Through innovation and active partnering with other GE engineering teams and external customers you will have the opportunity to guide a team that will design, implement, and validate steam turbine control software for combined cycle power plants. This technical leadership role requires moderate autonomy and judgement in a moderately complex environment. In addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers explaining difficult or sensitive information to get consensus, and develop persuasions skills, this role is critical in driving a culture of technical domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results Roles and Responsibilities Lead Steam Turbine Controls New Product Development for New Unit and Services opportunities Guide team in the architecture , design, development, execution, and validation of steam turbine standard control application software against product requirements. Guide team in the architecture , design, development, execution, and validation of steam turbine services project specific control application software against project specific requirements Work with the managers, internal customers, and external customers to gather control and operability requirements to deliver a quality product on time to meet Power Plant startups and commissioning. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to steam turbine controls engineers. Maintain strong contacts within the Thermal Engineering community to ensure strong systems solutions Define and deliver productivity and process improvements that increase the capacity of the steam turbine controls team. Lead and support Agile enterprise tool strategies including CLM & PLM integration Qualifications: Bachelor ofSciencein Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering Minimum of8yearsof experience in a combination of Steam Turbine or Integrated Power Plant Controls or Operations Desired Characteristics: Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams, customers, and suppliers and the ability to sell technology through simple and clear messaging Proven change agent with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization Proven experience working in a global matrix environment, with influencing and collaboration skills Strong leadership skills, keeping team focused and innovating through dynamic business cycle Deep technical skills and expertise in Steam Turbine Controls & Integrated Combined Cycle Plant Control and operation System Integration mindset within the Thermal Engineering community for meeting customer demands Ability to connect with team, sharing commercial strategies and connection to end customers Simplification mindset, acting on feedback, driving productivity initiatives for business results and personal engineering satisfaction Experience in working in Agile Team methodologies About Us GE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
