The incumbent will be responsible for development of PTC's Windchill. S/he will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing projects in Java, HTML, JSP, other needed technologies and for coordination with Product Management, QA, other cross functional teams. Job Responsibilities include:-- Interactions with other development groups, QA, Product Management, Technical Support- Prepare work estimates for assigned project and tasks- Develop iterative prototypes when appropriate- Prepare design note(s) per group standards based on an approved set of requirements.- Schedule, conduct and participate in design reviews- Completes all work according to schedule requirements- Write well documented performing code including source code documentation that meets organizational standards- Run unit tests and deliver automated tests to QA for inclusion in a regression test bed when appropriate- Acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product and process) - Resolution of software defects (all aspects from evaluation, fixing, workarounds, unit testing) as per organization guidelines.- Provide timely and complete information to the QA group to facilitate formal testing - Share technical information with the team and to a wider audience when appropriate- To perform the functions of the job as per instruction and pre-established guidelines.- Resolve assigned customer SPRs per organization guideline The skills required for this position are:Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline.6+ Years Programming Experience - of which minimum 5+ years should be in developing Java applications.Hands on knowledge of GWT.Ability to work independently and seek guidance when necessary.Resourceful.Very good verbal and written communication skills. Added advantage - knowledge of SCRUM/Agile development methodology, scrum master experience, experience in product development, knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server, Manufacturing processes.
