TECHNICAL LEAD - SDA/GCA IT (JOB NUMBER: GM 001346)








Position Purpose


This role is intended to provide data analysis and setup the automated reporting, controls and monitoring for the GCA team and on a regular basis using a variety of analytical tools and SQL.
The GCA Team is part of GM IT, the team looks to satisfy the requirements related to maintaining data pipeline for reporting & monitoring the data visibility pipeline performing below actions:
  • Python Scripting: Core hands on python work to maintain the tableau report control center (data visibility) for automation and enhancements


  • Data Engineering: Maintain the pipeline framework and propose multiple enhancements for new channel addition and feature enhancements

  • Machin learning and Data Science: Build minor POC\xe2\x80\x99s on data analytics and models/metrics for identifying the efficiency of application and implementation/Knowledge base training of chatbots

  • Able to guide team in technical solutions and complete the deliveries

  • Good collaboration with Onshore and Offshore teams







Direct Responsibilities
  • Specialized area of expertise required (one or more area) \xe2\x80\x93 Core python scripting, OOPs concepts, SQL

- Management of workload - Experience in prioritizing and systematically organizing tasks, demonstrating sensitivity to urgent matters, completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Analysis/Problem solving \xe2\x80\x93 Very good with analytical and problem solving skills, should be able to proactively find out the issues and suggest/implement the solutions.
  • Communication \xe2\x80\x93 Should be able to articulate the information to be shared in the understandable way to the people from different background (technical/non-technical). Should possess excellent presentation skills.
  • Analyze and Identify inferences \xe2\x80\x93 Deep dive analysis of data and identify data points, understand the nature of the data, create the statistical models and then convert them into machine learning models for predictive analytics.
  • Engineer solutions for complex problems involving capital markets platforms
  • Architect highly performant applications/modules using appropriate frameworks/tools.
  • Deliver robust and scalable solutions rapidly in an agile way.
  • Provide 3rd line support, working with the Application production support team
  • Able to manage day to day task and accountable and responsible for deliveries from offshore
  • Collaborate with Onshore and Offshore teams



Contributing Responsibilities


  • Guide / mentor / review other team member\xe2\x80\x99s deliveries and setup technical best practices
  • Prioritization of the tasks and keeping good balance of technical and functional knowledge
  • Implement / Improve DevOps Pipeline for production delivery.
  • Interact with functional and technical architects to design enterprise solutions.
  • Conduct / Drive workshops and technical forums within the department on tech trends.







Technical & Behavioral Competencies



  • Extensive hands-on Python and data related libraries (Numpy and pandas)
  • Good understanding on Relational databases and should be able to use SQL.
  • Data mining, analysis and basic understanding on ETL process.

Specific Qualifications (if required)



  • Bachelor or Master\'s Degree in engineering in computer science
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL systems, with experience developing in Oracle environment
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning using Python.
