Introduction:

• An experience Technical Lead on Java/J2EE enterprise application with good functional and technical engineering skills and product knowledge required to work with Architects and key stake holders to deliver project change to agreed time and quality.
• Work closely with the Lead Designer on product designs and make contributions on architectural issues where possible.
• Work as an individual contributor to develop code and support the team on deliverables.
• To have Knowledge on DevOps and Change related activities along with governance knowledge.
• Support the Application Management function with problem records and high severity incidents.
• Participate in Post Release Reviews to ensure all lessons learnt on technical things are documented and incorporated in future releases/projects
• Closely work with Project/Release managers & support them in all activities during the entire life cycle of the project
• Identify key design/build issues and develop options and recommendations to resolve.
• Provide knowledge sharing to junior members of the team.
• End to end accountability for technical API delivery of assigned projects with high volume and quality outputs.
• Partner with the other ICC functions for technical related topics and imbibe them into the deliverables.

What will you be doing?

• The person will be responsible for technical build/development & implementation activities for Document Management System / Cloud IT services and work across releases for applications for different business functions across BUK.
• The role will require work to be undertaken on multiple projects at a time, collaborating with Designers, Architects, PMs and Technical Leads as well as support and Infrastructure teams during and for the release of software components within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery.
• Can work independently with minimum supervision and help the development team on technical expertise.
• Pioneering - High level of initiative/innovation.
• Flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Work close with Application team on the Issues resolution and application Knowledge Transitions.
• Support conceptual technical solutions, evaluate & implement new technologies/tools
• Support end to end testing for the projects and perform Service Introduction and change management activities.
• Assist in the identification, management and resolution of technical Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAIDs).

What we're looking for:

• Good 5-8+ years of Hands-on experience of analysis and development Java, J2EE, Spring framework-MVC and Spring Boot, Oracle, Mongo DB, Openshift, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ancillary Technical Skill Sets include Microservices, SOAP, WSDL, SSH, TCP/IP. REST Services, Linux shell scripting and AWS cloud.
• Good 1-3+ years of working knowledge of tools like SonarQube, Jenkins, Jprofiler, Jmeter,Maven, Gradle, GIT etc,
• Good 1-3+ years of working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Tools - IDE (Eclipse, Intellij and other dev tools for design)
• Strong reporting and communication skills
• Working on several tasks on a variety of different projects at the same time.
• Ability to build effective internal relationships
• Take ownership of production issues and lead to resolution.
• Ability to work with an existing body of code (maintenance, feature additions, debugging, etc.) and process Focused and make fewer dependent structures
• Must have experience of working in an IT project environment and an understanding of IT and business strategies. Experience gained from outside the Bank can be very valuable particularly large organisations and/or suppliers or manufacturers.
