About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Prin Developer to design & implement software solutions as part of the Device Build Product Team supporting the Manufacturing & Operations environment

This individual will be part of the Global Information Technology department working with our internal IT partners, technical architects, platform teams and external Boston Scientific business partners to optimize the management, architecture & performance of our applications

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, develop & implement new capabilities in BSC's Manufacturing Execution System suite using Siemens Opcenter Execution
• Design, develop & implement interfaces & integrations to other enterprise applications using IBM Websphere MQ, Web Services, XML, JSON, HTML & JAVA
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development best practices in the area of cloud technologies, development & testing tools & processes, APIs, along with software design & development processes in line with BSC product team & cloud strategies
• Provide requirements analysis, level of effort estimation & project planning
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional & technical teams to provide advice & information to global groups & serve as an advocate to promote the benefits of the platform
• Communicate highly technical solutions to business partners at their level of technical understanding
• Enhances, maintains & supports the development & documentation of enterprise solutions through the SDLC according to the IT processes & guidelines
• Mentor junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices & DevOps trade-offs

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study
• 7+ years of experience in large scale software development projects
• Successful track record in developing quality system software & high availability solutions in a Manufacturing & Operations environment in particular Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) ideally Siemens Opcenter Execution
• Strong understanding of distributed data models coupled with experience designing, developing & debugging distributed systems with high data loads
• Experience with Scrum / Agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical problem solving & trouble shooting skills
• Knowledge of key features & technologies of Cloud Service Providers
• Able to work on a team both in person & in a collaborative virtual setting
• Able to work adaptively in a self-directed & motivated manner
• Proven experience working in a regulated environment with quality systems which includes strong documentation skills
• Experience designing & developing with messaging / integration technologies using Web Services, IBM Websphere, XML, JSON, JMS, REST, SOAP & JAVA
• Experience as a software developer on large-scale data base management systems like Oracle & SQL Server
• Experience in IIS, Apache, Linux, Windows, RDBMS, AIX, SQL, PHP/Python/Perl, JAVA, C, Visual Basic, .NET (C#, VB.NET), SSH, ASP, Javacript, HTML
