To know more about us, visit us at: www.wotr.org A brief snapshot of the role: WOTR is hiring for the role of a Technical Engineer (Watershed Management) to help in rejuvenating ecosystems and building the community\'s resilience to climate change. As a Technical Engineer, you will be accountable for project interventions in assigned areas, maintaining good rapport with the community, government officials, and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include designing, estimating, executing, and maintaining records of various watershed structures, managing watershed activities and groundwater management programs, and ensuring timely compliance with reporting requirements. This role will require extensive fieldwork. The ideal candidate should hold a B. Tech degree in Agriculture or Civil Engineering, or a diploma in Civil Engineering, with 3-5 years of relevant field experience. Proficiency in the local language and Hindi is preferred, and experience in the development sector would be advantageous. As Technical Engineer (Watershed Management) you will: Be accountable and responsible for project interventions in the assigned blocks / areas and work closely with the Project Manager Establish and maintain good rapport with community, PRI members, government officials and other stakeholders in the assigned areas and at district level Designs, estimate and execute and maintain proper records of various watershed and other structures of the programme Promote, administer and manage the Watershed activities and Ground Water Management programmes along with other activities Deliver timely compliance to all the routine reporting requirements & accordingly plan and conduct periodic programme review meetings Manage any other work assigned by Project Manager and provides hands-on support as needed Please note: You will need to extensively travel to the field.
