Role: Technical Director \xe2\x80\x93 Electrical The purpose of the Technical Director and Regional Technology Leader role is to lead, at the most senior level, a regionally recognized technical discipline within a Solutions Area, delivering innovative solutions that provide superior value to our clients. Responsibilities:

• Assure the quality of technical outputs through the appointment of suitably qualified Technical Leaders within the discipline and their assignment to individual tenders and projects.

• Develop and maintain the framework of Technical Leaders required to suit the evolving needs of the discipline.

• Shape the direction of the technical practice based on future-focused insights and thought leadership and Jacobs\xe2\x80\x99 focus areas.

• Provide technical leadership in Sales and actively participate in Client engagement and business development opportunities in pursuit of future work for the business.

• Identify, lead and mitigate the technical risk exposure to the business by ensuring adequate controls are identified and applied to technical risks in both Sales and Project Delivery.

• Collaborate with and support the Technical Director and Regional Practice Leader cohort to bring the best of Jacobs to bear on every opportunity and project undertaken across the business.

• Collaborate across your regional Community of Practice, organizing monthly meetings with them and contributing to Global All-Hands calls in conjunction with your Global Technology Leader

• Collaborate with the Technical Directors \xe2\x80\x93 Electrical and ELV to build technical delivery capability in India relevant to the rest of Asia. Likewise collaborate with Regional Practice Leaders in other Regions to build technical delivery capability in India relevant to their Regions.

• Develop and maintain our technical competency frameworks enhancing our technical delivery capabilities and minimizing technical risks and project write-off\xe2\x80\x99s

• .Link up with your peers in the Electrical space globally and grow eminence together, cross-pollinating initiatives together.

• Additionally, Technical Director Electrical will lead, manage, and direct a discipline. This dynamic position provides leadership, champions inclusion and diversity, drives global delivery, supports a culture of innovation applies a disciplined deployment of capital and ensures operational excellence across their discipline.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

• 
  Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of study (Electrical). Membership of a recognized professional institution/organization preferably at a Fellowship level.

• Significant consulting experience required including business systems, policies and procedures.

• Strong communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good social, networking and presentation skills.

• Significant discipline/ industry presence, recognized and valued by Jacobs clients at the national or international level.

• Recognized internally as an authority able to work with our teams to solve technical problems and achieve a high level of assurance on project deliverables.

• Enhanced technical reputation with Clients regionally and globally through innovative solutions and performance excellence.

• Availability and configuration of technical talent to deliver current and future business needs, including global integrated delivery.

• Recognition of technical excellence and performance through internal and external awards.

• Measurable reduction in operations and maintenance risks through the application of the Safety-in-Design process.
