1 TECHNICAL COORDINATO R \xe2\x80\x93 INVESTOR AML TO SUPPORT IRELAND & UK INVESTOR AML REQUIRED: Founded in Chicago in 1889, Northern Trust is one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading financial institutions. We specialise in providing asset servicing solutions and asset management to both institutional and personal clients. The delivery of products and services to this client base is supported through a network of offices around the globe. LOCATION The position is based in Northern Trust\xe2\x80\x99s offices in: \xef\x82\xa7 Bangalore or Pune ROLE At Technical Coordinator level, the role requires the completion of workload, with guidance from colleagues and line management, to support AML compliance services aligned to: \xe2\x80\xa2 AML Legislation/Regulation & Guidance/Best Practice. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ireland & UK Investor AML processes and procedures. There is a requirement to hold, build and maintain a very strong relationship with the Northern Trust Investor AML Department in Ireland to deliver a robust AML Compliance service to Northern Trust\xe2\x80\x99s client and investor base. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Takes responsibility for the timely and accurate completion of workload allocated including tasks processed through Northern Trust\xe2\x80\x99s workflow process. \xe2\x80\xa2 Actively participates in the review of investor documentation and information in adherence with Northern Trust\xe2\x80\x99s AML processes and procedures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Works with colleagues and line management in reviewing such investor documentation and efficiently highlighting outstanding investor due diligence documentation (if any) to the Investor AML Department in Ireland, by agreed modes of communication, with professionalism of approach and timely escalation of material issues arising. \xe2\x80\xa2 Escalates and assists with resolution of more complex problems and critical issues, including those received from other Northern Trust partners (including primarily the Northern Trust Investor AML Department in Ireland). \xe2\x80\xa2 Works with colleagues and line management to ensure that all queries from other Northern Trust partners (including primarily the Northern Trust Investor AML Department in Ireland) are dealt with efficiently and professionally. \xe2\x80\xa2 Takes responsibility for completion of support services for Ireland & UK Investor AML processes and procedures in conjunction with Northern Trust colleagues in Ireland and provides regular, meaningful and accurate periodic updates to his/her line manager and colleagues in Bangalore, Pune and Ireland. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains strong working relationships with partners in Northern Trust Investor AML Department in Ireland. \xe2\x80\xa2 Works with his/her line management and other colleagues to ensure that the Investor AML support teams in Bangalore and Pune meet the required audit, risk and compliance standards as determined, from time to time, in accordance with advised changes in processes and procedures pursuant to amendments in prevailing legislation, guidance and best practice. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains an up to date knowledge of Investor AML good practice and uses this knowledge to promote enhancements to Northern Trust\xe2\x80\x99s AML processes and procedures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs additional work where volume or absence requires such workload to be completed. 2 SKILLS / EXPERIENCE \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of day-to-day Investor AML processes and procedures and the wider funds administration business. \xe2\x80\xa2 Previous experience in an Investor AML servicing role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organisational and communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective risk management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to research and understand issues and deliver solutions agreed with line management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Some knowledge of the global Investor AML regulatory environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications relating to designated areas of responsibility. ACCOUNTABILITIES \xe2\x80\xa2 The successful candidate is required to comply with the global AML regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role. \xe2\x80\xa2 The successful candidate is expected to exercise due care and diligence, and ensure that the responsibilities of the role are organised and controlled within the ambit of regulation, compliance and risk management. \xe2\x80\xa2 The successful candidate is required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of such duties.
