The Position

As a technical content writer, you will:

• Manage and curate content, and prepare safety documents pertaining to surveillance of devices and drug-device combination products, in close collaboration with device safety surveillance advisors.
• Prepare and maintain templates for the aforementioned documents.
• Drive development and implementation of structured content authoring/content reuse for preparing documents.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, when applicable.
• Explore opportunities for efficiency gains and automation of manual tasks in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data scientists.
• Act as buddy/mentor for colleagues.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, the technical content writer must be a graduate (MSc. or equivalent).
• Experience working with regulatory documents is preferred.
• Experience with document curation/editing.
• Strong technical writing skills i.e., conceptually understands structured content authoring/content re-use.
• Strong collaborator with ability to communicate clearly, plan and coordinate simultaneous activities.
• Experience in document management systems, solid experience in MS Office package use and internet, and publication tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat).
• Experience working with structured content (e.g., in Component Content Management System [CCMS] and DITA XML).

About the department

Global Safety Global Business Service (GS-GBS) was set up in 2010 as one of the hubs for safety case processing. We handle case processing and medical review of Individual Case Safety Reports from different sources (spontaneous, literature, solicited and clinical trials). We are additionally engaged in safety surveillance, safety medical writing, safety report submission, training, quality control of ICSRs, Argus configuration and maintenance, information technology quality assurance, training co-ordination and literature surveillance activities, including medical literature monitoring.
