The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:
- Research content and analyze audience information
- Interview the subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop customer documentation
- Ensure quality in the product documentation, that is, deliver documents that meet Nokia documentation standards of
style and writing quality
- Write or revise descriptive and procedural documents for the intended users
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks, solve problems, determine content requirements, and maintain
progress
- Drive innovation and content quality with stakeholders

Your skills and experience

Experience:

  • 8+ years of Technical Writing experience, preferably, in telecommunication industry
  • Hands-on experience with developing customer documentation
  • Knowledge of documentation tools (Jira, Vasont, Confluence, Oxygen, SVN/GIT etc.)
  • Experience with cross-site collaboration for content development
Skills:
  • Possess good understanding of the SDLC and DDLC, and Structured writing principles.
  • Gather data from and work with PLM, R&D, and Test to ensure appropriate creation and timely delivery of technical publications to coincide with product release.
  • Work independently or as part of cross-functional teams to develop information products associated with components or features of an assigned product.
  • With limited guidance, develop information products for component or feature groupings for an assigned product that is a system or a complex grouping of units or features.
  • Research, write and edit high-quality hardware/software customer documentation for Nokia products.
  • Self-edit documentation with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, completeness, usability, and style.
  • Understand end-user needs and enhance content for better customer experience.
  • Have an active and energetic attitude to cope with tight deadlines; be open to work independently, as well as in local and global (virtual) teams.
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Experience using Linux / Python / CLI
  • Interactive presentations (Adobe Captivate)
  • Mastery in Photoshop/Corel Designer and/or Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in setting up documentation build environment and troubleshooting build and tool issues
