Job Description
In AT&T Brno, we are looking to hire a Telco Telemetry Technician who will join our Telemetry team who provisions and maintains the remote access capability (comm. links) to Transport network elements and their associated management systems. The Telemetry team owns and manages the methods and procedures for provisioning and maintaining alarm management networks. This role is for the purpose of remote provisioning, repairs, monitoring, and testing of wireline and wireless services across the US and MoW Regions. Telemetry Tier 1 responsibilities include but is not limited to: 1. Legacy T Telemetry Maintain the alarm equipment and links for US-based and Legacy networks including:
- Telemetry Network
- Webhosting Network
- IP Network
- Alarming and communications links throughout the Telco network
- Communications links in the network.
- AI Switch components in the SE region including supporting x.25 connections and datakit components, which are actively being converted to IP where possible
Required Skillset/Experience:
- Must possess knowledge of x.25 and IP topology.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.
- Knowledge of telecommunications equipment.
- Network troubleshooting of Layer-1, Layer-2, Layer-3.
- Has experience in troubleshooting IP networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and practical experience with LANs, WANs, WLANs and IPv4.
- Must have experience with Microsoft suite of products
- Great communication skills in English
