Team Leader, Product Quality

In this role, you will have both responsibilities in technical and management.


You will be responsible for recruitment, performance review and career development of your direct reports. You will work with your Functional Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve development processes, ensuring quality products delivered in a timely, predictable manner.

You will be also responsible as technical leader, to lead a team in product development and continuation of existing/new products in accordance with engineering best practices/processes and in partnership with team members across the globe.

As a Lead, you will drive improvements in Product & Process performance using Six Sigma Techniques.

  • Projects will range up to more strategic, multi-functional, multi-business efforts requiring excellent project management and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Product Development environment, preferable as a Hardware Engineer.
  • People Manger Experience
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in AIAG Requirements as an OEM or Tier 1 Supplier.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master preferred with proven completion of projects in which solutions were sought at the root level of the problem.
  • Experience working cross-functional, cross-business and cross-cultural projects.
  • PC skills: Proficient in Minitab and Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Strong working knowledge problem solving / root cause analysis and process management.
  • Proven Leadership and Change Management experience driving process improvement projects.
  • Hands-on Project Management experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Validation/verification of new design.
  • Provide technical support in engineering change review, drawing and specification review to meet ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Hardware defect or failure trend analysis and suggest improvements.
  • Effectively apply technical or professional skills within the context of one\'s role.
  • Recognize/anticipate barriers to completing assigned work/projects.
  • Focuses and determines proper engineering principles on reliability issues.
  • Drives Root Cause Investigation (RCI)
  • Uses reliability engineering principles and tools (such as Weibull, RCI, FMEA).
  • Drive and own preventive quality assurance during development and industrialization setup.
  • Ensures quality and manufacturing process readiness before start of mass production to attain a flawless launch.
  • Implement lessons learned in other/new products, respectively new or running projects.
  • Identify and manage Critical To Quality (CTQ\xe2\x80\x99s)
When standard procedures do not apply, use judgment and draw on past experience to interpret information, solve routine problems and/or recommend approaches. Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement on an ongoing basis. Demonstrate understanding of the role of technology in business and as it applies to one\'s own functional area.
  • Adhere to defined and communicated standards, methods, and procedures, with
openness to identifying improvements.
  • Seek and implement process improvement ideas in primary work area.
  • Focus on streamlining activities for increased efficiencies.
