our day-to-day responsibilities include:

1) To analyze and understand new and existing software components and requirements
2) Gathering test requirements and producing test specifications
3) To prepare a test scripts to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results.
4) To conduct testing in systematic manner & in the preparation of test scripts.
5) Manual execution of tests, recording of results, investigation and logging of faults
6) To review Test Cases
7) Maintaining relevant test results databases
8) To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release & to review the test execution
9) To report the defects.
10) To provide estimates and feedback to the Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes.
11) To provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues and undertake elements of supervision.
12) To ensure creation of test data
13) Employ advanced troubleshooting strategies; quickly determine root cause with limited support from others and provide support in troubleshooting.
14) To produce test reports, providing feedback on problems found
15) Manage the 4 to 6 members Team.
16) Should be involve in soution discussion and team activities.

More skills:

1) Should have performed functional testing on POS terminal testing and switch testing.
2) Detailed knowledge of Manual Testing. Explore to automation testing will be addtional advantage
3) A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
4) Has a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
5) Technically orientated self starter able to make progress with minimal supervision
6) Process orientation and clarity of thoughts
7) Establishing relationships and maintaining contacts with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

9) Explore to Visa / MasterCard online / offline certifications will be added advantage

14) Capability to handle Team
15) Must be a competent tester with experience in POS terminals .
16) Sound knowledge of Payments Domain, ISO8583 Financial message, Payment/switching, banking and finance domain
17) Experience with Jira test management tool.
18) Experiences in designing, describing and document test cases
19) Understanding the Process of SDLC, Bug Tracking, Ticketing, and Testing.
20)Experience in multiple full release project life cycles
21) Ability to interact and coordinate with employees at different levels, different groups, and different geographical locations within the company
22) Addressing issues of Apps and Web Server related to Merchants & Interchanges & POS EDC terminal.

Skills we'd like:

1) Test case creation and validation
2) Test data and setup creation
3) Test Plan preparation and test execution
4) Review of Test results
5) Integration, System testing & UAT exposure,
6) Experience of testing Windows Software Applications / Database applications produced using SQL Server, Oracle, putty or mobextrim tool.
7) Excellent working knowledge of Unix. Exposure to Flat file structure on AIX will be added advantage
8) Is able to absorb rapidly and apply effectively, new technical / business information as required.
9) Good understanding of test methodologies and processes
10) Ability to create automated test scripts
11) Experience of testing real-time application software
