Education Required: Graduation/Post Graduation/PGDBM

Professional Experience Required (Max - Min.): 12~10 years

  • Minimum 8 years\' experience - preferably in the given industry segments - Manufacturing, OEM, Retail - CPG, Services, Telecom etc.
  • 4 years of demonstrated work experience in any 1 or 2: Category Management, Sourcing, Source-To-Pay across Shared Services or Global Business Services or Center of Excellence
  • Min 3 years of demonstrated work experience in people management having direct supervision of people.
General Job description

Goal setting, management of Procurement analysis/analytics activities, and ensuring the centre achieves its results and objectives in a timely manner. Day to day tasks within the objectives and KPIs with direct and considerable impact through own work to the Global Procurement Function. Proactive problem solving with can do attitude by existing/continuous improvement of global processes /working methods to make it lean and more efficient. Influence communication with global stakeholders with facts and data to get better alignment.

Key Role
  • Design and develop insights related to the Productivity metrics (Spend & Savings)
  • Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze and interpret large scale data sets
  • Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
  • Help management make important decisions based on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)
  • Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory
  • Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
  • Conduct market research to support future business planning
  • Prepare planning guide to facilitate the completion of the negotiation and support where needed
  • Conduct opportunity assessments, benchmarking, and should cost modeling to develop sourcing opportunities
  • Prepare category improvement projections and conduct post-implementation variance analysis
  • Identify total internal costs associated with supplier price, delivery, operations and quality
  • Determination of the economic behaviour of the supply/demand/price of the commodity.
  • Competitive analysis of major suppliers of the commodity.
  • Providing inputs towards price forecasts (quantitative information/factors to support the price forecast of the commodity
  • Provide data driven solutions to business challenges
  • Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize Procurement organization spend
  • Development and productizing the analysis in relation to global operations of Procurement for standard offering
  • Ensure accuracy and structure in procurement data.
Technical Competence
  • QlikView / Power BI or similar reporting system knowledge will be an added asset
  • Strong project management experience & exposure to data management tools
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and agility
  • Profound Knowledge of SAP environments and extraction of data
  • Ability to prepare and deliver training materials
  • Good Knowledge in Procurement and supply chain
  • Implementation and communication of new dashboards, planning actions related to findings
  • Statistical tools like R and Python can be an added advantage.

Role and Responsibility
  • Gather market intelligence to support respective category including different data sets and highlight the pattern of spend
  • Create visibility in spend leakages & drive to optimize the supply base
  • Highlight the opportunities to drive the savings through leveraging the volume between the suppliers
  • Understand and establish category requirements, development of sourcing strategy that meet the needs of the organization, while providing synergy in process and savings.
  • Track the save & spend ratio and report the same to the Procurement teams
  • Provide analytical support to optimize the spend with category managers
  • Develop the simulation models to get the optimal prices for supplier managers/category managers
  • Analyze and present complex data into meaningful decision-making information
  • Develop analytics dashboard & support with actionable insights
  • Analyze & highlight the Categories with tail spend
  • Propose framework to drive supply base optimization models
  • Ensure to support the process owners in the ad-hoc requests.
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001
