Job Description

Has day-to-day management responsibilities for a small team. Responsible for the assignment of work to the Cash Operations team responsible for facilitating electronic movements of funds, wires transfers and cheque issues along with trade postings on behalf of the client within defined procedures. Responsible for exception/escalation management received via workflows and other sources. Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work. Conducts performance management and career development processes. 1. Responsible for the assignment of work to a small Cash Operations team 2. Responsible for exception/escalation management received via workflows and other sources 3. Ensures business continuity plans for the team are reviewed and ready to implement 4. Manage all audits and migrations related to the Cash Ops team 5. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact 6. Demonstrate expert knowledge of the process, business relations, escalations procedures and escalation tree 7. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management 8. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions 9. Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work 10. Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions 11. Provides input and support to budget management process

A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification / or studying towards, is preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Analytical and problem solving skills are required Working experience and knowledge of risk management and mitigation is required Facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills are required Knowledge of Capital Markets is required Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
