About Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division! From sample to knowledge to results, the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry business develops and manufactures leading-edge chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, consumables, and software solutions for customers working in the analytical sciences (routine testing markets) and scientific research. Our complete workflow solutions enable productivity and efficiency for customers performing food and beverage testing and manufacturing, environmental and industrial testing, biopharma QA/QC, toxicology, and anti-doping. For scientific research customers, our products support a range of focus areas, including proteomics, metabolomics, drug discovery and clinical research. Roles and Responsibilities: 1.Support Thermo Fisher customers under Asset management services for various multi-vendor Analytical Instruments taking responsibilities for following activities at customer site. a. Perform qualification of newly procured instruments from stacking to release. Perform annual & partial calibration of Analytical Instruments as per predefined schedule and ensure completion within time. b. Updating instruments record accordingly Coordinate with responsible associates at site & vendors for preventive maintenance of analytical instruments. c. Maintaining IMA GLIMS database for analytical instruments. Periodic review of analytical data and audit trail review and documentation as per define procedure. d. Coordinating with other service providers for breakdown and calibration of measuring devices as per predefined schedule. Updating instruments record accordingly. e. Calibration, re-calibration, qualification and re-qualification of chambers, freezers and refrigerators Execution and supervision of Preventive maintenance for HPLC and other various Analytical Instruments as per procedures within the stipulated timeline. f. Breakdown attendance of Laboratory Instrument and documentation of all activity/investigation detail/ spare consumption as per procedure. g. Spare inventory management for Laboratory Instrument. Reduction of downtime of Laboratory Instrument with effective preventive maintenance. h. Coordination with vendor for optimum utilization of AMC/CMC/ on demand Contract for laboratory Instrument. i. Preparation of Monthly report. Review of analytical data for calibration and Qualification. j. Extend support for administrative activities to establish coordination among customer, Thermo fisher associates working at customer location and HR partner. 2.Support Thermo Fisher regular customers through technical service, installation, operation, training and repair of specialized - Analytical equipment like HPLC, CAD ( Aerosol detector) a. Undertake product installation at client premises and demonstrate the features related to 21 CFR compliance under the CDS software. b. Provide training and technical advice on instrument use, both in person and by phone by sharing Dos and Don'ts for optimum performance of the system. c. Provide an important link between customers and Sales and Marketing. d. Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer. e. Monitor repairs in terms of the organization's service / warranty cover and making suggestions as to product improvements. f. Carry out planned maintenance calls and perform regular customer visits. Make recommendations about spare parts requirement and assisting with monitoring equipment. g. Achieve the assigned spares and Service revenue targets by prompting contracts, PM kits, instrument upgrade and Software upgrades. h. Role requires travelling within the territory and may call for travel outside territory if need arises Knowledge, Skills, abilities a. Bachelor of Technology (Instrumentation / Electronics/Electrical) b. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and different levels of internal and external customers. c. Possess analytical skills and ability to work with data to see patterns, trends and things of note and to draw meaningful conclusions from them. d. Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear and concise documentation e. Self-motivated and proactive in technical and support approach. f. Closely work with customer in understanding customer pain areas and be consultant between organization and the customer thereby helping the customer and organization to achieve our regional commercial goals. g. Build good rapport with customer and educate the customer regarding maintenance contract entitlements and procurement of PM kits annually to improve system availability.
