Job Description

Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records - Manage accounts payable and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments - Oversee payroll processing, including calculating employee salaries, deductions, and benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations - Assist with tax management, including preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations - Provide support during the end-of-month close process, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data - Prepare grant reports in accordance with funding requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submission - Assist with audit preparation, including gathering and organizing financial documents, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements - Collaborate with the finance head to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure effective financial management - Stay updated on relevant accounting and finance regulations and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies Requirements: - Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field - CPA or other relevant certification preferred - Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations - Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management software - Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills The Accounting and Finance Manager will report directly to the finance head and will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
