Job Description

: Purpose of Role: Prepares the statutory returns assigned accurately and on time Responsible for the submission of the statutory returns to the appropriate authorities (ex: European & GB VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales List, and other statutory reporting, without incurring penalties on behalf of the Group). Responsible for obtaining the sign off on the returns by the relevant person and ensures that the payments are initiated and followed up with the outsourced service provider on time. Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations are prepared on time and in a CARM and SAO compliant way. Follows-up aged or unreconciled items identified during Balance Sheets reconciliation. Proactively seeks for process improvement opportunities and advise his / her Line Manager on any noncompliance. Responsible for participating in Indirect Tax trainings and delivery returns with Quality. To participate and contribute to the success of month-end close by executing tasks accurately and according to the timetable. .Provides support for the Senior Statutory Returns Analyst and Team Leader on Indirect Tax-related queries and specific projects. Regularly informs Senior Indirect Tax Return Analyst and Team Leader on daily issues. Qualifications and Experience Required: Graduate in Finance or Accounting. 3-5 years\' experience in Accounting and Taxation - European VAT skills is mandatory Stakeholders\' management. Process Expertise and improvement. Capable of working in a deadline driven environment. Experience of working in a multi-national SSC environment. Has customer focus to be able to build excellent relationships with relevant internal and external customers. Hard working personality, flexibility. Good business English, able to effectively communicate. PC skills/System knowledge. SAP knowledge. Relevant experience with preparation, analysis, filing of VAT and Statistical returns.
