The Tawa Master is responsible for preparing a variety of tawa items such as parotta, chapathi, omelette, dosa, and other tawa-based dishes. The role requires skill in handling the tawa, maintaining consistency, speed, and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare parotta, chapathi, omelette, dosa, and other tawa items as per restaurant standards.
Ensure proper texture, softness, and taste of all items.
Maintain the tawa and work area in a clean and good condition.
Prepare ingredients like dough, batter, and eggs before service time.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service.
Follow hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before cooking.
Report shortages or equipment issues to the chef or manager.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Tawa Master or Cook in a restaurant or hotel.
Good knowledge of South Indian tawa dishes and preparation methods.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy hours.
Team player with good communication skills.
High level of hygiene and cleanliness.
