Job Description

Dish preparation

: Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, such as chicken tikka, seekh kebab, naan, and other meats, seafood, and vegetables, ensuring they meet quality and consistency standards.

Marinating and seasoning

: Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables with authentic spices and yogurt to develop deep flavor profiles.

Tandoor operation

: Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring proper temperatures are reached and sustained for perfect cooking.

Food safety and hygiene

: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and ensure proper handling of raw and cooked foods.

Menu management

: Assist in developing new recipes and menu items, and ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and company standards.

Inventory and supplies

: Monitor and manage the inventory of tandoori ingredients and supplies, and order them as needed.

Team collaboration

: Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and the timely preparation of dishes.
Qualifications and skills

Proficiency in operating and maintaining a tandoor oven. Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and marination. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
