Talent Lead - Fintech / Retail Tech (you MUST have in-house tech start up experience)

SALARY: commensurate with experience plus bonus

Location: Bengaluru

MishiPay ( ) was founded in 2015 by Mustafa Khanwala ( ) and Tanvi Bhardwaj ( ), bringing the best of the online checkout experience to physical stores.

We do this with our Scan, Pay and Go experience. Using our native apps on Android or iOS, or our web app available on Chrome or Safari, customers scan the products they wish to buy in store using their own phone and pay instantly. This eradicates the need to wait in line or touch store hardware. The current Covid-19 crisis has given us another mission to keep retail staff safe whilst giving shoppers the confidence to return to High Streets and malls.

As the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading Scan and Go provider as a third party application into retailers\xe2\x80\x99 stores, we work with some of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest retailers including names like MUJI, Eroski, Dufry, Spar, Londis, Decathlon, and many others. The work is challenging, hard and long and requires you to be on top of your game but if the adventure and journey excites you then this is the place for you. About The Role

To assist with our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re now looking for an incredible Talent Lead to join us in Bangalore. You MUST have at least 2 years in-house Talent experience in a tech startup or high-growth environment and have the confidence and skills in building amazing tech teams who are focused on being bold, inventive and long-term in their thinking and approach. We will judge their work as we will yours, on performance and results above all else.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll help to build and form our super-talented, passionate Bangalore team, help develop our culture, look at employee retention and brand, so this is a role for someone with real ambition. You MUST be willing to do the Recruitment for our India office and perhaps other international locations, as this is the main part of the role.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be super flexible, people oriented, and be able to cope with pace and tight deadlines. A challenge we face is recruiting the best talent in India, when our brand and products are not well-known in the region. At present, our clients are based in the US, ME and Europe, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to understand how to attract great people using innovative approaches that take this into account.

Responsibilities: You will

  • Work closely with our hiring managers to develop job specifications and requirements. You\xe2\x80\x99ll then develop engaging, focussed job adverts and identify the right places to find us talent, advertising or headhunting/direct sourcing with an aim to reduce our time to hire and keep down the costs.
  • Organise & attend meetups & Recruitment drives to enable us to attract the best talent.
  • Screen potential candidates through telephone and/or video or face to face interviews as appropriate.
  • Schedule hiring manager interviews and Challenges and manage our candidates through the process. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be passionate about candidate experience, our candidates are also our customers, & you\xe2\x80\x99ll find ways to establish MishiPay as an employer of choice.
  • Compile job offers and present to the candidate accordingly. Conduct HR admin such as contracts, references and job specifications.
  • Manage any supplier relationships.
  • Contribute to employee retention. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work out the best ways to help keep our busy employees, engaged, satisfied and comfortable. You\xe2\x80\x99ll constantly engage with our internal tech teams to ensure their happiness and wellbeing.
  • Think of innovative ways to increase our employer branding, and so our attractiveness to candidates.
  • Compile and generate relevant Recruitment reports

  • Be a confident, empathic and perceptive interviewer and understand the nuances of how to keep candidates engaged in the process while negotiating expertly when it comes to making offers and securing the right candidate.
  • Be happy dealing at all levels of individual, from Board to intern.

  • Display an innate sense of curiosity. You\xe2\x80\x99ll streamline and implement processes, keep abreast of recruitment and salary trends and new sourcing tools and platforms.
