Description

The Metrics and Reporting Specialist is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining executive security reporting workbooks and interactive Tableau reporting tied to key security controls. The candidate should be able to design and maintain templates for Tableau reporting, optimize data feeds for improved performance and document procedures for the updating and maintenance of reporting. Reporting should be made available for online and offline use as part of regular monthly forums and the candidate should be able to interpret reporting requests and turn them into actionable outputs tied to key deadlines.

Using data insights and analytics skills the user should demonstrate a detailed knowledge of building reports within the Tableau Environment and be able to discuss reporting requirements with key stakeholder regarding the presentation and visualization of key security metrics and data. The successful candidate will ensure that security metrics documentation is reviewed and updated as required and report building follows an agreed change management and peer review approach.

Key Functions

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support critical Business Intelligence ETL solutions in Tableau, sourcing data from multiple inputs to include the design, modelling of views, and triggers used during the ETL process
• Work within the metrics and reporting framework to identify, create, define, monitor, analyze and evaluate security reporting within the EGSO Tableau environment.
• Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and executive stakeholders to update reporting and maintain effective Tableau visualization.
• Maintain Tableau scheduled reports and scorecards in a timely and accurate manner.
• Produce all metrics and reports to agreed standards visually and in terms of content and ability for users to filter and navigate through.
• Liase with internal team members to document and build guidance for end user reporting.
• Ensure all business rules and policies to transform data, and any data quality or coverage issues are displayed in the agreed format.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of Tableau Software upgrades/improvements to ensure reporting takes full advantage of available enhancements.
• Effectively used data blending with multiple data sources and drillable hierarchies.
• Full life-cycle reporting methodology including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience using Tableau for the creation and automation of enterprise scale

• Strong knowledge of Tableau server architecture and building robust boarding solutions applying business rules and data validations.
• Use of complex Tableau functions and developing optimal scripts for a given solution.
• Ability to create advanced highlight actions, parameters, filters (Local, Global), and calculated sets for preparing dashboards and worksheets using Tableau.
• Proficient in building, publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards, report scheduling using Tableau server.
• Additional Responsibilities

• Ensuring all documentation is up to date related to the building and maintenance of executive reporting.
