: Responsibilities

• Administer and support a multi-tier Tableau infrastructure Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data Connections
• Add/Edit Sites and corresponding administration rights (System vs. Content)
• Create/Modify/Manage server task schedules Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
• Upgrade server software Enforce policies; assist users with workflows Provide Tableau support to users
• Experience in integrating Tableau with Windows AD, Sailpoint, Single-Sign on, etc.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting and production issues.
• Hands-on experience in solving performance issues.
• Performing upgradation, Patching and migration of Tableau Services.
• Ability to handle any kind of failover and/or disaster recovery scenarios.
• Set up documentation for policies, procedures and best development practices.
• Coordination of admin activities with other tenant site administrators.
• Under broad direction and supervision, develops, maintains, and enhances Tableau server and its accompanying infrastructure.
• Maintains and updates existing Tableau servers, tests client applications to determine compatibility with upgrades and works with clients to resolve any issues.
• Serves as the primary technical point of contact on Tableau server engagements of moderate to high complexity including service tickets requiring expert analysis.
• Involved with the investigation and resolution of complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment.
• Participates in capacity planning to ensure Tableau servers are adequately sized and configure to meet current and projected demand.
• Develops and maintains internal tools. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Team provides 24x7 support. Must be able to work off hours and weekends as required.

• 7-12 years of experience working with Tableau Server administration on Linux, Unix and Windows platform.
• Experience working with WebLogic Application Server on Linux, Unix and Windows.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network Firewall.
• Ability to automate the processes would be a benefit.
• Software functions on products listed above include: installation, configuration, administration and testing.
• Ability to apply patches, service packs and hot fixes.
• Ability to upgrade and migrate the Tableau infrastructure.
• Experience with content administration and security administration.
• Understanding of how to implement promotion methodology and version control in Tableau.
• Setting up separate sites for different clients.
