We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Systems Administrator.

The Global Release Management team is fundamentally responsible for carrying out large / small scale software / patch distribution to a proportion of (or the entire) CWD community. Also, will carry out POC, OAT and UAT for the applications that come for packaging for CWD environment. Will work closely with GLT and Global / Regional Gatekeepers team for new / amend packaging requests and the application coordination process and CWD 3rd line team for change implementations.

Responsibility can take the form of:

  • Working closely with the Global Gatekeepers, Regional Domain Owners and Application Owners to analyze and understand the requirement of an application and performing due diligence prior to approving an application packaging request.
  • Ensure that license details of each and every application are thoroughly checked and a softcopy of the license agreement is taken wherever applicable.
  • Analyse new applications while approving a packaging TSR to ensure there is no duplication of technology.
  • Ensure HSBC standard (FIM guidelines, FOS and Technical Reference Model) are followed while approving a packaging request.
  • Co-ordinate packaging and release of new software and patches in accordance with CWD Standards.
  • Testing applications and patches before rollout to minimize incidents affecting users.
  • Providing users an opportunity to accept functionality of software before it is fully implemented.
  • Maintaining structured approach to rolling out all new software.
  • Piloting in advance of rollouts, which means that users do not experience system downtime?
  • Implementing storage of software on site servers, ensuring that updated versions are installed at all times, which minimizes incidents and the need for reinstallation.
  • Liaison with other support teams, application vendors to ensure continuity of services.
  • Implementation of changes, rollouts
  • Provide 3rd line release support for applications or packages and change related issues

Requirements

General Knowledge & Experience (For the role \xe2\x80\x93 not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.)
  • Candidate should be atleast a graduate in any discipline with 3-5 years of IT experience . D
  • Should have industry standard certified relevant to the process platform/environment.D
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within limited timescales, whilst maintaining quality E
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver service, to agreed service levels, within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment. Willingness to work outside office hours on occasions, including weekends. E
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and change. E
  • Strong knowledge on MECM along with AD and ITIL process. E
  • Basic knowledge on HSBC IT Infrastructure Delivery. E
  • Good general IT support knowledge E
  • Strong interpersonal skills & good customer service skills E
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written E
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly assess situations, their impact and options for resolution with high level of judgment and decision making skills E
  • To work in 24/7 environment. E
