Job Description

Description The Systems Engineer II - Application Support - supports the enterprise applications at CME Group, primarily in the areas of clearing, referential and regulatory applications in the customer facing environments. Troubleshoots known and new issues, determines the root cause, provides solutions and takes initiative to resolve it. Verifies implementation and make adjustments as necessary, documents the solution and provides clarification and support to others.
Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 Application Support
• Troubleshoot an incident and take that to closure. Engage Dev/L3 team as needed and share initial findings and details with stakeholders.
• Participate in Bridge Call for any incident and drive the same & share the updates with stakeholders on timely basis.
• Perform root cause analysis and document SOP as needed.
• Bridge the gap between support and engineering team and participate in various meetings/sessions for the same.
• Participate in knowledge sessions/meetings with stakeholders and document/share the same with team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Industry.
• Very good working experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Linux/Unix, Windows.
• Understanding of current and emerging technologies.
• Experience in a Cloud environment is preferred.
• Knowledge about Swift applications/Architecture and its Deployments.
• Knowledge of Powershell and Windows administration.
• Java experience is preferred.
• UC4 or other scheduling tool experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and debugging skill required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
