Oracle Cerner is excited to hire System Engineer II. As System Engineer II you will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability. You will be responsible for performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. You will be accountable for implementing monitoring for applications and servers and responding to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation. You will manage changes and project activities and communicate with impacted stakeholders. You will develop and deploy automation tools to optimize daily activities and complete assigned incident management tasks. You will deploy, set up, and maintain complex testing environments. Also, you provide Tier III and other support per service request.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:

At least 1 year of System administration and/or system engineering work experience

At least 5 years of Additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years of working knowledge of SQL along with working knowledge of Linux, scripting and networking

Conceptual knowledge or work experience of Server Maintenance, Memory allocation

Good communication (verbal & written)
