Cerner is exited to hire "System Engineer I". As a System Engineer I at Cerner, you are responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities required to deliver multiple project tasks on-time while following all process and procedures', escalating issues as necessary, and creating or updating all necessary documentation. In addition, you will be responsible for installations for all environments of Cerner Solutions, implement and monitoring for applications and servers. Additionally, you will be responsible for deploying physical and virtual servers, setup, and maintain testing environments. In this role, you will also support per service request, complete assigned incident management tasks, perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware or OS upgrades, and resource optimization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or related fields, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 year of experience in Linux and Windows.
• At least 1 year of experience in Citrix.
• Performance monitoring and resoling issues.
• Ability to work assigned day or night schedule on 24X7 environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in shifts on rotation.
• Ability to Stretch work Hours if required for business.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application problems.
