Roles and Responsibilities

Experience in Sybase ASE 12.5 & 15.0
Experience in UNIX, Linux, Shell scripting.
Working experience in Sybase Database Administration, installation & configuration in Sybase.
Experience in Database upgradation and migration projects in Sybase.
Experience in Sybase Replication, Database Backup, Recovery back-up & loading in database
Cron Job Setup, Installation and configuration of Replication, Replication trouble shooting experience
Other responsibilities included maintenance and issue resolution in production & dev environment
Experience in production environment, handling tasks, ticket closure
Development experience in Sybase 12.5, handling tasks in development
Performance tuning, reorg and stats collection, DBCC, DB failover activities, Database Backup/Recovery, DR activities
Monitoring databases and troubleshooting, recovering databases when necessary, experience in configuring new servers.
Should be a team player, ready to take on critical activities anytime.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
