POSITION SUMMARY Successful candidate will be responsible for developing automation framework & test scripts, Automation test plans & procedures, maintaining test scripts and analyzing test results for Photonics /ROADM/WDM OR Ciena\xe2\x80\x99s Converged Packet and Optical portfolio based on L2/L3 protocols and services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, Develop and continuously improve Test Automation Framework and Tools in Python.
• Leverage existing and external tools (3rd Party Open-source tools) to incrementally improve automation infrastructure.
• Develop automation infrastructure for commercial test Equipment solutions (e.g., IXIA, ONT, Spirent etc.), libraries for NBI interfaces etc.
• Develop test cases based on System Requirements and Customer use cases for any of these areas: L2/L3 protocols, Photonics/ROADM/WDM, OTN interface compliance
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Conduct code reviews & cross-product meetings for Automation framework modifications.
• Conduct diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex automation software issues.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with test automation concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent test and development skills with Python in Linux and Windows environment.
• Hands-on experience on NBIs Libraries (REST, NETCONF, gRPC) and on Commercial Test sets Equipment\xe2\x80\x99s Libraries.
• Knowledge on DevOps Tools (GIT, Jenkins, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Ansible etc) is a plus.
• Object-oriented software design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in Telecom and Datacom systems, Ethernet networking and fiber optic transport systems in general.
• Expert in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
• Ability to work and adapt to multi-site global R&D environment.

• BE / B.Tech / MCA Degree.
• 4+ Years of experience in Automation Domain.
