C14 \xe2\x80\x93 SVP, Capital Transformation, Planning Process Design

The Capital Planning team within Citi Treasury is responsible for all aspects of capital analysis, forecasting and planning for Citi, including providing programmatic leadership for the management of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s capital ratios, CCAR filings and related Capital Adequacy Assessments, and Recovery & Resolution Planning. The organization spans the full capital planning continuum, with the Head of Capital Planning reporting to the Citi Treasurer.

The Capital Planning team includes a dedicated Transformation function that articulates and executes the strategy by which Citi will achieve its Capital transformation goals and provides central leadership over the execution of the necessary remedial actions to deliver the firm\xe2\x80\x99s Spot RWA and Planning target state, as required to address the FRB and OCC Consent Orders.

This role will report to the Planning Process Design Lead (\xe2\x80\x9cthe Process Lead\xe2\x80\x9d) within the Capital Transformation team. The role will be responsible for designing and implementing the Target State for an integrated forecasting process to support business and capital planning. This role will work closely with various process vertical leads i.e Core Process Design team, Models, Governance, Data, Infrastructure, and the Central Transformation integration team to assess requirements and/or constraints and drive agreement on Target State design elements. The resulting Target State forecasting process be an efficient, well governed, and controlled forecasting process that can be executed in 45 days +/- 5 days. Further, will support the Process Lead to own ensuring that Milestone commitments are met and robustly documented to support successful validation by Internal Audit.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an integrated quarterly approach to produce multi-year, multi-scenario forecasts
  • Analyse end-to-end forecasting processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with leads for the Data, Technology, Governance & Controls, Models, and Org. & Resourcing to align the Target State integrated forecasting process design with related and supporting capabilities
  • Formally manage the Planning Process Design regulatory and internal transformation commitments ensuring timely completion and successful validation by Internal Audit
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, escalating any issues associated with the process design and implementation, as needed, to the Planning Transformation Lead on a timely basis
  • Management responsibility for a small Process Design supporting team
  • Serve as the site manager for the Capital Transformation Mumbai based team
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required with a particular emphasis on knowledge of financial and capital forecasting and stress testing methodologies
  • Prior work experience in an area related to analytics, management, or strategy consulting in financial services areas
  • Exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills to engage with C-Suite leadership, and demystify technical intricacies in language and context relevant to a broader audience
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment within a heavily matrixed organization
  • Experience in supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives
  • Experience with process mapping and analysis to drive and identify optimization opportunities
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
Education:
  • An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA, CPA or CFA is preferred
