Job Description


Job Summary: The Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients regarding Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking. They will be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth operation of the client\'s IT infrastructure. The Support Engineer will collaborate with clients, internal teams, and vendors to deliver effective solutions and excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking concepts, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server performance, configuration, and connectivity. Perform server installations, upgrades, and migrations. Monitor and maintain server systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions. Configure and troubleshoot network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide effective technical solutions. Communicate with internal teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Document support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system configurations. Provide training and guidance to junior support staff, as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking technologies. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Support Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions. Solid understanding of Networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing. Experience with server virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V. Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Industry certifications, such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), are a plus.
