:Job PurposeThe Back Office Support - Export position plays a crucial role in supporting the export sales team by handling administrative tasks, coordinating logistics, and facilitating communication with international customers. The primary purpose is to ensure smooth and efficient execution of export sales operations, contributing to the achievement of sales targets and customer satisfactionJob ContextHindalcos copper division, Birla Copper, operates one of the largest single location custom copper smelters in the world. The custom copper smelter at Dahej in the state of Gujarat (west coast of India) houses three copper smelters, three refineries, two rod plants, a captive power plant, a captive oxygen plant, phosphoric acid plant, di-ammonium phosphate plant, precious metal recovery plant, captive jetty and other utilities.Hindalco produces LME grade copper cathodes, continuous cast copper rods in various sizes, and precious metals like gold and silver. Hindalco is one of the major manufacturers of 19.6mm diameter copper rods, which is used for railway electrification. The co-product, sulphuric acid, is partly utilised to produce phosphoric acid and fertilisers like di-ammonium phosphate (DAP).Birla Copper currently enjoys the status of market leader in the market; however, impending competitions may shake the market landscape. So, in order to maintain the status as market leader it is important that proactive steps are taken, and the copper metal industry is undergoing significant transformations due to evolving market dynamics, technological advancements, regulatory changes, and global competition. In this context, the incumbent will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather market intelligence, monitor competitive landscapes, and identify opportunities and threats impacting the industry.Selling on the domestic market is our first and most preferred option for reasons of higher profitability. There is fierce competition in the domestic market with all major producers trying to grab the maximum possible share besides the import threat. The surplus production is to be exported as and when required as the domestic demand is still to catch up with the existing capacity. The business environment is multifaceted with intense global competition even in the domestic market because of declining duty protection. The prices of Copper Concentrate and finished product directly linked to London Metal Exchange, the price risk management is the new dimension to the business complexities not witnessed by any other unit in the AVB Group.Key Result AreasSupporting ActionsOrder Processing

  • Efficiently process export sales orders, including order entry, verification, and confirmation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements and internal policies.
Documentation Management
  • Prepare and manage export documentation, including sales contracts, proforma invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to facilitate customs clearance and shipping.
Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers to arrange shipping, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery of export orders to customers.
Customer Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for international customers, addressing inquiries, providing order status updates, and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
Compliance Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, trade agreements, and quality standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation to support regulatory audits and inspections.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Generate sales reports, shipment tracking reports, and other performance metrics to monitor export sales activities, identify trends, and support decision-making by the export sales team and management.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline export sales processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer service, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with members of the export sales team, as well as other departments such as finance, logistics, and customer service, to ensure alignment of efforts and effective execution of export sales initiatives.
