Position: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager Number of vacancies: 1 Reporting to: GM - Operations Location: Bangalore

Position Overview:

Gaiagen, a leader in sustainable agricultural solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. This role involves optimizing our procurement processes, identifying and establishing relationships with alternative vendors, and fostering long-term partnerships for raw material procurement and contract manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and experience in logistics and liaison with distribution partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Proven track record in vendor management and partnership development.
• Strong understanding of logistics and distribution networks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Optimization:

• Assess and optimize current procurement strategies and processes.
• Troubleshoot issues in procurement, ensuring smooth operations and continuity.

Vendor Management and Partnership Development:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for raw materials and contract manufacturing.
• Cultivate long-term partnerships with vendors, focusing on sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage vendor contracts.

Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement strategies for inventory management, reducing wastage and optimizing stock levels at the principal warehouse as well as 3rd party locations.
• Analyze and improve supply chain logistics, workflows, and processes.

Logistics and Distribution Liaison:

• Manage logistics operations, including coordination with CNF (Carry and Forward Agents) or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) models.
• Liaise with distributor partners, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery.
• Develop strategies to improve logistics efficiency and reduce transportation costs.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in procurement and supply chain activities.
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and supply chain performance.
