Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Job Roles & Responsibilites

The purpose of this role is to make product available to meet customer demand - and that includes delivery to the appropriate location, on time, in sufficient quantity. Supply chain role is focused on doing that in the most efficient and effective way

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order management, shortage management, logistics support, meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets as defined
  • To focus on part availability, on time delivery to the customer, Quality and Cost Reduction by utilizing resources effectively.
  • Driving supply chain and logistics excellence and ensuring the compliance of all statutory requirements in order to achieve Business goals
  • Provide innovative planning and logistics solutions to find and implement efficiencies with cross-functional teams
  • Drive and assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities to deliver superior service.
  • Support procurement exercises by providing operational market intelligence and benchmarking.
  • Use of technological tools and internal data to generate reports that detail efficiencies as well as areas needing improvement
  • To work on automation of processes through relevant software.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
  • Graduate Degree holder from any stream - Commerce/Arts/IT/Engineering/Supply chain
  • Strong analytical abilities, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Extensive knowledge of software's like Kinaxis, Tableau, PowerBI, IBP
  • Good knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP-system
  • Effective communication and partnership skills with CFTs
  • Establishing effective operating policies, lean initiatives and processes
  • Comprehensive understanding & experience of purchasing strategies and also inventory management.
  • Regularly achieving cost saving targets
  • Resourceful and well organized
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills.
