Job Summary

Role: Supplier Manager

We are looking for candidate who will be responsible to handle the Procurement activities. The selected candidate will work in closely with business stakeholders, Project management team, the global organization, and suppliers. The role is responsible mainly for sourcing and contracting of third party equipments (3PE) category required for Food Processing Industry but shall also include other categories like pipes, fittings etc. The role also includes performing spend and market analysis, execute strategic sourcing projects, negotiate contracts with suppliers.

The position reports to Procurement Manager, South Asia Markets and is based out of our state of art factory at Chakan, Pune, India. The position will have no direct reportees.

What you will do

Key responsibilities:

  • Sourcing of 3rd party and bought out equipments like Pumps, Valves, Industrial Fans & Blowers, Utilities Equipments, Water Treatment Eqpts, Boilers, Compressors, Cooling Towers, Conveyors, Packaging machines
  • Understanding category management and implementing the category strategies
  • Execute the sourcing strategies from category management
  • Sourcing and contracting in Ariba, E-auctions / reverse auctions in Ariba
  • Bid Analysis, Negotiations, Contract negotiations, seeking approvals
  • Achieve on Cost Reduction targets and extended payment terms targets
  • Demand management (challenging the demand from stakeholders)
  • Build Supplier Relationships Supplier performance management and reviews.
  • Contract life cycle management
  • Early involvement and engagement with stakeholders
  • Annual Rate contracts with suppliers
  • Support global process and master data compliance requirements
  • Compliance to Procurement policy and procedure
  • Imports knowledge and experience in buying from foreign suppliers, Incoterms
  • Stakeholder management
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Project Managers for resolution of issues
  • Coordinate with Legal team for contracts finalization
We believe you have
  • Degree Mechanical Engg.
  • 7 to 12 years\' experience in Procurement function, preferably in Project procurement
  • Familiar to SAP and ARIBA sourcing and contracting tool
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Detailed, Analytical, Self-Driven
  • Excellent communication in verbal and written English
