Hybrid Working Structured hybrid role: At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, \'anchor\', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business. Introduction: The role holder will be required to effectively manage the assigned suppliers in line with Barclays External Supplier Management Standards and meet the associated risk, cost and service parameters. Support other supplier managers and senior management team across different supplier categories within Procurement Supplier Management function and adopt and deliver a consistent and effective approach to managing third party risk for the bank. The person will line manage colleagues, if required and support line manager to continuously improve and optimise the current process, procedures and operating model to build new solutions and capabilities to effectively manage changing demands as per the supplier risk landscape. The role holder will contribute towards the development of \'best in class\' supplier management capability. What will you be doing Perform end to end Supplier Management roles and responsibilities in accordance with Barclays\' External Supplier Management Standards . Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements as part of the Supplier Relationship Management . Be the lead to develop an efficient on-going Supplier Relationship for the suppliers managed which is mutually benefitting . Monitor and lead the performance delivery of the suppliers against agreed benchmarks. Develop an understanding of key contractual clauses and ensure compliance . Support other supplier managers in delivering \'best in class\' supplier management function for the group\'s strategic and / or operational 3rd party suppliers . Identify and work on cost saving initiatives with the 3rd party suppliers on an on-going basis to drive commercial value, create capacity and deliver tangible enhancements for supplier base optimisation . Deliver small / medium variations to services / supply and / or support the delivery of large change, by o acting as a key point of contact for internal clients (and external where applicable) in respect of requirements for variations to services / contract, ensuring these are clearly distilled and documented o providing an interface with the supplier in respect of required variations to services, ensuring necessary discipline / agreed change acceptance methodologies are deployed at all times and that all activities meet the desired cost, risk & service parameters o building an understanding of the key commercial elements within the supplier contract using this to ensure value is achieved where possible . Be flexible in picking up additional responsibility to support the team . Be able to line manage direct reports, if required and ensure delivery of supplier management responsibilities aligned to the function\'s strategy What we\'re looking for: The successful candidate should have background in Supplier or Service Management disciplines and have experience working with 3rd party suppliers. In addition, the candidate should have strong personal development and relationship building skills with the ability to generate value through continuous improvement and working closely with stakeholders. The candidate should also be agile and adaptable and have the ability to be flexible in picking up additional responsibility to support the team Skills that will help you in the role: . Experience in Supplier Management / Procurement, and /or 3rd party Vendor Management required, . Knowledge of Contractual/Commercial arrangements within Industry /Market . Experience in dealing with multiple Global (and virtual) stakeholders in different business functions/domains and manage their objective, service expectations and priorities e.g. frontline, Risk, Compliance, Fraud and Legal, etc. . Advanced knowledge of risk and control frameworks. Detailed understanding of Operational Risk policies & standards . Ability to maintains a complete and accurate risk profile of third parties, with early visibility of emerging issues through first level of assurance via analysis of control issues, identification of root causes, implications and right remedial actions required . Strong written and spoken communication skills in English confident and articulate to manage senior executive level relationships . A Post Graduate or Graduate as on the date of application . Knowledge of Barclays business areas, key priorities and challenges .
