About the Job
We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for suppliers across the country and will chart out alongside the founding team the key product feedback and features. If you're someone who has a genuine love for contributing to products that keep users at their core and wish to independently lead engagements with current and new users, you're the right match.
Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing a network of suppliers for Building Products especially in Interiors Sedment - Wallpapers, Tiles, Laminates, Veneers, Fabrics etc.
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines etc.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Handle the RFQ's received from customers by ensuring best rate sourcing
  • Ensure all RFQs are quoted within time to customers
  • Ensure supplier side contracting in place to serve customer orders with minimum delay
  • Ensure on-time fulfilment rate of 99%+
  • Cultivate a pipeline of prospective partnerships with vendors, manage and actively participate in and contribute to the evaluation and selection of our partnerships
  • Identify and connect with key partner decision-makers and make an impactful pitch of Material Depots's product
  • Maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Manage end-to-end partner lifecycle including pitching, negotiation, contracting, execution
  • Be proactive about solving problems and take additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge
  • Keep sharp eye on the customer's experience and onboarding journey
  • Work with cross-functional teams within Material Depot's ecosystem
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a Supplier side role
  • Managed dealer and distributor relations and procurement across different segments in the past and knows how to manage them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Great communication skills and a proven ability to work as part of a tight-knit team
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Marketplace experience across commerce, payments, logistics, etc. is a plus
  • Well versed with reach out mechanisms and tools like Ulinc, Apollo.io, Sales Navigator
  • Data-driven mindset, with a strong focus on maintaining trackers, creating content collaterals, negotiation
